Job Overview

The Team Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting our basketball clubs during the upcoming season. This position requires excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for basketball. The Team coordinator will ensure that all logistical aspects of the team’s operations run smoothly, allowing coaches and players to focus on their performance.

Key Responsibilities
Schedule Management:
  • Communicate practice schedules, game times, and team events to coaching staff and players in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update a shared calendar to keep all team members informed.
Practice Setup:
  • Assist in the preparation and setup of practice facilities, including setting up equipment and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
  • Help coordinate drills and practice logistics as directed by the coaching staff.
Laundry Assistance:
  • Collaborate with the equipment manager to oversee the laundering of team uniforms and gear, ensuring all items are clean and ready for use.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of all equipment and apparel.
Ticket Management:
  • Handle all ticket requests for players and their families, ensuring a fair and efficient distribution process.
  • Maintain records of ticket allocations and assist with any related inquiries.
Team Communication:
  • Serve as a point of contact between players, coaching staff, and administration for any logistical matters.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members to foster a positive team environment.
Qualifications
  • Passion for basketball and a strong understanding of team dynamics.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple personalities and communication styles, empathize with team members, and successfully navigate interpersonal communication to maintain a positive team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for client service.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy.
  • Prior experience in sports management or team coordination is a plus but not required.
  • Must be located in the Miami, FL area or be willing to move there during the season (relocation expenses are not provided).
