Bridget Carleton Signs with Unrivaled, Set to Make Playing Debut in Season Three

2x Olympian and WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Champion Joins Unrivaled
MIAMI (June 25, 2026) – Unrivaled announced today the signing of Portland Fire forward Bridget Carleton to a playing contract, with her debut set for the league’s upcoming third season. Her club will be determined at a later date. The two-time Olympian and 2024 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Champion joins Flau’jae Johnson, Gabby Williams and Olivia Miles as Unrivaled’s latest signees.

Carleton is currently averaging a career-high 13.4 points and 1.6 steals for the Portland Fire after being selected first overall by the franchise in the 2026 WNBA Expansion Draft. The forward was selected No. 21 overall by the Connecticut Sun in the 2019 WNBA Draft and was later signed to the Minnesota Lynx as a free agent, going on to spend seven seasons with the Lynx. In 2024, Carleton was pivotal to Minnesota’s Commissioner’s Cup title run, averaging 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists. She finished the season third in WNBA Most Improved Player award voting.
The Chatham, Ontario, native was named to Canada’s senior women’s national team for both the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games, leading the team in 2024 with 13.3 points, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. In 2022, Carleton earned All-Star Five honors at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup after finishing the tournament with 12.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game to lead Canada to its first semifinals appearance since 1986.
In her four-year career at Iowa State, Carleton amassed 2,142 points, 863 rebounds and 349 assists, starting in all but three games. She ranks fourth in program history in points, second in steals and fourth in minutes played. As a senior in 2019, Carleton averaged 21.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists. She was the first Big 12 Player of the Year and Cheryl Miller Award winner in program history, while also earning second-team AP All-America and third-team USBWA All-America honors.
