No. 8 Overall Pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, NCAA Champion and Rapper joins Unrivaled following back-to-back NIL deals with the league.

MIAMI (June 22, 2026) – Unrivaled announced today the signing of 2026 WNBA No. 8 overall pick and NCAA champion guard Flau’jae Johnson to a multi-year playing contract, with her debut set for the league’s third season next winter. Her club will be determined at a later date. Johnson was one of the inaugural Future is Unrivaled NIL players alongside Breeze BC’s Paige Bueckers, and is the second member of the Future is Unrivaled Class of 2025 to sign for the upcoming season.

“From signing one of the first NIL deals with Unrivaled to now joining the league as a player, it's been incredible to see this journey come full circle. The level of competition, the attention the league generated, and the way it helped shine a spotlight on the game's biggest stars showed what's possible when athletes are given a platform built for them,” said Johnson. “Having been part of the Unrivaled family through its NIL program, I've had a front-row seat to that growth, and it's exciting to now officially join as a player. I'm excited to keep growing as a pro, compete against the best, and bring my game, my personality, and everything I represent to the league next season.”

Johnson was selected eighth overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft and has averaged 11.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 26.8 minutes per game, earning a starting spot for the Seattle Storm. The guard is the only rookie to record multiple double-doubles on the season. Following a dynamic four-year career at LSU, Johnson started all 35 games for the Tigers in her senior season and averaged 14.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals. She was named to the AP and USBWA All-America Third Teams and was a finalist for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award. Johnson was also selected to the All-SEC First Team for the second consecutive year.

Johnson finished her LSU career ranked No. 4 in games played (141) and No. 2 in games started (139). She also surpassed 2,000 career points at LSU, becoming only the sixth player in program history to reach the milestone. Johnson ranks No. 7 all-time at LSU in postseason games played with 17, reaching the Final Four once, Elite Eight twice, and Sweet 16 four times. She helped lead LSU to its first-ever NCAA Championship in 2023 and was named the SEC Freshman of the year.

Outside of her accomplishments with LSU, Johnson is also a 2025 FIBA AmeriCup Gold Medalist. Her tournament was highlighted by a 22-point team-leading performance in the quarterfinals against the Dominican Republic.

Johnson’s talent goes well beyond the basketball court, as she’s made her mark as an entrepreneur, philanthropist and recording artist. She most recently released a new single, “WOAH,” celebrating her transition to the WNBA. Her viral Flaumix freestyle series has amassed more than 20 million views across social media, and her projects One of a Kind, Flau & B, and Best of Both Worlds (2024) feature the likes of Lil Wayne, Bossman Dlow, and Waka Flocka Flame. She has also been named one of Billboard’s Sports & Music Power Players for two consecutive years.

Johnson first joined Unrivaled as one of the first two women’s college basketball players signed to NIL deals with the league, which included equity and significant presence in the league’s marketing and merchandising campaigns. Johnson signed again with the league as part of the Future is Unrivaled Class of 2025, alongside 13 other top women’s college basketball players and notably Olivia Miles, whose Unrivaled playing contract was announced in April.
