“I’m incredibly excited to announce that I’ll be playing in Unrivaled next season,” said Gabby Williams. “The opportunity to compete alongside some of the best players in the world, continue growing my game, and be part of something that is pushing women’s basketball forward is truly special. Can’t wait to get started. See you soon, Unrivaled!”
Williams is currently averaging a career-high 16.3 points while shooting a career-best 37.8% from behind the arc in her eighth WNBA season and first with the Valkyries. In 2025, Williams was named a WNBA All-Star for the first time in her career and earned WNBA All-Defensive honors for the second time after recording 99 steals on the season—the second-most in a single season in WNBA history. The forward led the league in steals per game (2.3) and finished the 2025 season as the only WNBA player with more than 100 deflections (124). She also recorded the most games with at least one steal (40). Her WNBA career began in 2018, having been drafted fourth overall by the Chicago Sky following a prolific college career where the Huskies compiled a 148-3 record and captured consecutive National Championships in 2015 and 2016.
Boasting a decorated international career, Williams was named the EuroLeague Women’s Defensive Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons (2025, 2026) with Fenerbahçe and averaged a league-high 3.0 steals in 2026. She was also named to the 2026 All-EuroLeague Second Team and won her second career EuroLeague championship (2022, 2026).
Williams represented France on the Olympic stage in both 2020 and 2024, earning bronze and silver medals, respectively. At the Paris 2024 Olympics, Williams was named to the All-Star Five and earned the Best Defensive Player Award while leading France in points (15.5), assists (4.8) and steals (2.8).
