Marine Johannès Signs Multi-Year Contract with Unrivaled, Set to Make Playing Debut in Season Three

2x Olympic Medalist, WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Champion, EuroCup Champion and EuroCup Finals MVP Joins Unrivaled
MIAMI (June 29, 2026) – Unrivaled announced today the signing of Marine Johannès, a two-time Olympic Medalist, WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Champion (2023), EuroCup Champion (2023), EuroCup Finals MVP (2023) and New York Liberty guard to a multi-year playing contract, with her debut set for the league’s upcoming third season. Her club will be determined at a later date. Johannès joins Bridget Carleton, Flau’jae Johnson, Gabby Williams, and Olivia Miles as Unrivaled’s latest signees.

Johannès is averaging 9.7 points and career highs in rebounds and steals in her fifth season for the Liberty, while also setting a career best in games started. She ranks top 10 in franchise history for 3-pointers made and points scored off the bench. In 2023, the guard exploded for a team-high 17 points, with three rebounds and two assists off the bench to lead the New York to its first-ever Commissioner’s Cup Championship.
The Lisieux, France native has represented the French senior women’s national team for over a decade, playing in three Olympic Games and medaling twice (2020, 2024). Johannès was the only player in the 2024 Paris Olympics to knock down five 3-pointers in multiple games and ranked second in total 3-pointers made, leading France to a silver medal finish against Team USA.
Johannès spent the 2025-2026 international season with Galatasaray, averaging 8.8 points, 2.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds during the Turkish KBSL regular season. She previously spent five years with French club ASVEL Feminin, capturing her first EuroCup title and EuroCup Finals MVP honors in 2023 after posting 20 points and six assists against Galatasaray.
