Kaitlyn Chen and Isabelle Harrison to join Unrivaled rosters

MIAMI (October 28, 2026) – Unrivaled today announced a series of roster updates ahead of the league’s third season, tipping off on January 8, 2027. Aliyah Boston will miss the 2027 Unrivaled season due to ongoing recovery from a procedure previously announced by the Indiana Fever. Boston is expected to return in the 2028 season as part of her multi-year deal with the league.

Additionally, Unrivaled and Kate Martin have reached a mutual contract termination agreement, Unrivaled President of Basketball Clare Duwelius announced today.

“We’re grateful for Kate’s contributions to Unrivaled over the past two seasons and the positive impact she’s had on the league and her clubs,” said Duwelius. “We wish her all the best and will always celebrate her as one of our inaugural athletes who believed in Unrivaled from day one.”

“I’m incredibly grateful to Unrivaled for the opportunity to be part of its first two seasons,” said Kate Martin. “It’s been special to help launch a league that continues to elevate women’s basketball. While I’m excited about what’s on the horizon for me, I’m so thankful for the people, the competition, and the memories I’ve made in Unrivaled.”

In corresponding moves, Unrivaled has signed one-year deals with Isabelle Harrison and Kaitlyn Chen.

Harrison averaged career highs of 12.8 points and 6.9 rebounds in her first season with the Toronto Tempo and ninth WNBA season. She scored a career-best 26 points against the Las Vegas Aces on July 20 and recorded 13 games with at least 15 points. Her WNBA career has included stops in Toronto, New York, Chicago, Dallas, San Antonio and Phoenix, which selected her No. 12 overall in the 2015 WNBA Draft. Harrison also has more than five years of international playing experience, most recently with Czech club USK Praha in 2024. During her four-season career at Tennessee, Harrison was a two-time Honorable Mention All-America selection, averaging 9.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while earning First-Team All-SEC honors twice.

Chen is coming off her second season with the Golden State Valkyries. She averaged career highs of 7.2 points and 1.9 assists per game and ranked fifth among bench players in total minutes played. The guard was selected 30th overall by Golden State in the 2025 WNBA Draft. Chen capped her collegiate career with an NCAA championship in 2025, helping lead Connecticut to its 12th national title. Prior to Connecticut, she was the 2023 Ivy League Player of the Year at Princeton and finished her career ranked third in program history in assists.
