June’s Standout Performers:

Marina Mabrey

After Marina Mabrey opened the month of June with the first Player of the Week Honors of her career, she closed the month with a historic performance, matching the WNBA’s single-game scoring record with 53 points in the Tempo’s 125-97 win against the Los Angeles Sparks on June 25. The Lunar Owls BC wing shot 17-of-28 from the field and 9-of-18 from deep, tying the WNBA’s single-game record for made threes. Just days prior, Mabrey recorded 37 points and 23 points, respectively, bringing her to a league record 113 points scored in a three-game span. She deservingly went on to end June with her second career Player of the Week honors while also averaging career-bests in points (21.2), field goals (7.2), and made threes (3.6).

Breanna Stewart

After becoming the first player to win an NCAA, WNBA, and Unrivaled championship in March, Breanna Stewart has added yet another piece of hardware to her collection: a second Commissioner's Cup MVP trophy. Stewart became the first two-time Commissioner’s Cup MVP in WNBA history after recording 25 points and 11 rebounds to lead New York to its second Commissioner’s Cup title. The Liberty went undefeated in Commissioner’s Cup regular season play, going 6-0 behind 19.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in the month of June from Stewart. She also opened June with Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors and went on to pass Lisa Leslie for No. 13 on the WNBA’s all-time scoring list on June 14.

Rhyne Howard

The Atlanta Dream went 7-5 in the month of June to finish fourth in WNBA standings behind Rhyne Howard, who averaged 19.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.4 steals in 12 outings. Howard led Atlanta in scoring in five different games—more than any other Dream player. She kicked off June with a dominant 36 points in Atlanta’s 91-75 win over the Connecticut Sun, shooting 12-of-24 from the field and 8-of-19 from deep. On June 27, Howard moved to No. 3 on the Dream’s all-time franchise scoring list, just two months into her fifth season with Atlanta.

Dominique Malonga

Breeze BC’s Dominique Malonga also etched her name into WNBA history as she became the youngest player in WNBA history to record 30+ points in a single game. The 20-year-old poured in a career-high 37 points for the Seattle Storm against the Dallas Wings and Breeze clubmate Paige Bueckers on June 22. Malonga shot 14-of-24 from the floor and 2-of-5 from deep while grabbing 12 boards. She closed June averaging a career-high 17.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, up from 7.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in 2025.

Kahleah Copper and Kelsey Plum

In an overtime showdown between the Mercury and Sparks on June 13, Unrivaled athletes were at the center of it all as Kahleah Copper and Kelsey Plum each put on career performances. Copper exploded for a career-best 41 points, going 16-of-30 from the floor and joining Diana Taurasi as the only Mercury players to record 40-point games. Plum answered with 43 points, powering Los Angeles to a nine-point victory and setting the Sparks’ franchise single-game scoring record. Plum and Copper became the first two opponents to score 40+ points in the same game in WNBA history. Copper ended June with 20+ points in five of her last six outings and joined Plum on the league’s top 10 scoring list through the first two months of the season.

Sonia Citron

Sonia Citron capped June with a career-high 32 points in the Washington Mystics’ thrilling quadruple-overtime win against the Portland Fire, 124-123 on June 28. Citron played a jaw-dropping 52 minutes and 33 seconds in just the second quadruple-overtime game in WNBA history, scoring Washington’s final four points herself to clinch the victory. The Hive BC guard averaged a career-best 18.7 points and 3.5 assists per game through the first two months of the WNBA season.

WNBA All-Star Starters and Reserves

There will be a large Unrivaled presence at the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game, as Paige Bueckers, Breanna Stewart and Aliyah Boston were named starters alongside recent signees Olivia Miles, Gabby Williams and Jessica Shepard. For the reserves, Sonia Citron, Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Marina Mabrey, Kelsey Plum, Courtney Williams, Jackie Young, Kiki Iriafen, Dominique Malonga and Angel Reese were named All-Stars, filling 10 of the 12 reserve spots.
