Unrivaled Names Liz Marro as Chief Marketing Officer

NEW YORK (September 16, 2025) – Today, Unrivaled announced the appointment of Liz Marro as the league’s first Chief Marketing Officer. A proven leader in sports marketing and brand building, Marro will oversee all aspects of Unrivaled’s marketing, from digital and content strategy, to sponsorship activation and grassroots fan acquisition.

Marro brings nearly a decade of experience in the real-money gaming and fantasy sports space, most recently serving as a co-founding team member and Chief Marketing Officer at Underdog, where she was instrumental in scaling the company to its current $1.225 billion valuation. At Underdog, she led all growth and marketing initiatives, built the company’s in-house Content Network, and established a marketing infrastructure that fueled rapid customer acquisition. She also developed and executed high-impact partnerships with multiple major leagues, while managing large marketing budgets.

Prior to Underdog, Marro led retention and CRM at Jackpocket, where her strategies contributed to the company’s $750 million acquisition by DraftKings. A lifelong sports fan, she has built her career around the belief that sports are for everyone, and she is deeply committed to unlocking untapped markets of fans eager to connect with new communities.

As CMO of Unrivaled, Marro will play a critical role in shaping the league’s disruptive, player-first identity; developing multi-channel marketing strategies across digital, broadcast, and live events; and driving grassroots fan growth. She will partner closely with the league’s leadership team, including the Chief Brand Officer, Chief Content Officer, and Chief Revenue Officer, to ensure Unrivaled delivers innovative, culturally relevant campaigns that resonate with emerging audiences while amplifying value for partners and investors.
