Gray, Copper Combine for 62 to Lead Rose BC Over Phantom BC, 84-74

MIAMI (Jan. 25, 2026) — Chelsea Gray and Kahleah Copper combined for 62 points as Rose BC snapped a three-game losing streak with an 84-74 victory over Phantom BC.
Gray became the first player in Unrivaled history to reach 500 career points and Copper dropped a career-high 28 points in her final outing before playing in her hometown of Philadelphia at Philly is Unrivaled Presented by Xfinity. The win improves the Rose to 4-3 on the Unrivaled season as the Phantom fall to 4-3.
“It’s been cool to have our relationship grow,” Gray said about playing alongside Copper. “I want to put her in the best positions possible and I want her to succeed.”
Gray recorded a game-high 34 points, with seven rebounds and eight assists, marking the fourth time in seven games that the guard has scored 30+ points. Copper went 11-of-19 from the floor to reach her career best. Rose BC also recorded 48 points in the paint on the day, marking their highest scoring output underneath the basket of the season.
Rose BC Head Coach Nola Henry praised how fortunate she has been to coach the duo.
“It’s an honor. Obviously they’re superstars, but they’re also really good humans and really good people.”
Gray and Copper scored 38 of the club’s 50 first-half points as the Rose took a 50-45 lead into halftime. Rose BC shot 63% from the field in the opening half. Kelsey Plum scored 12 in the second quarter for the Phantom, finishing with a club-high 17 first-half points.
Gray and Copper kept their foot on the gas in the third, combining for 21 points. The two outscored the entire Phantom BC unit by themselves in the period. Phantom BC shot 6-of-17 from the field in the quarter and trailed 72-60 entering the fourth.
Natasha Cloud and Tiffany Hayes accounted for 10 of Phantom’s 12 fourth quarter points to keep the game within reach. Copper answered with five straight points to extend Rose’s lead to 82-72. The very next possession, Austin sealed the win with a floater, giving Rose its first victory since Jan. 11.
Despite the loss snapping the Phantom’s two-game winning streak, head coach Roneeka Hodges remained upbeat.
“It’s just one game,” said Hodges. “We’re going to continue to play Phantom basketball and move on to the next one.”
Up next: Phantom BC (3-4) and Rose BC (4-3) will both be playing in Unrivaled’s games in Philadelphia on Friday, Jan. 29. Phantom faces Breeze BC at 7:30 p.m. ET and Rose will take on Lunar Owls BC at 8:45 p.m. ET.
