Samsung is excited to build on its partnership with Unrivaled in season 2 as the Official Technology and Presenting Partner.
The groundbreaking professional women’s basketball league was founded in 2023 by WNBA stars and #TeamGalaxy members Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. Now, as the league prepares to tip off season two, Samsung is thrilled to deepen its support of Unrivaled, its athletes, and fans.
“From the outset of our partnership, we’ve been focused on celebrating those who define their own paths” said Simon Callan, Head of Partnerships, Samsung Mobile. “In season one we elevated fan experiences powered by Samsung Galaxy and helped the players enhance their own performance through our ecosystem of products. Season two represents an even bigger opportunity to continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible.”
Unrivaled Training Camp
Fresh on the heels of the Seize the Season step challenge, Samsung is further supporting the Unrivaled league and its players as they prepare for another exciting year, this time during Training Camp. To support the athletes and help them get their bodies ready for season two, Samsung is providing players with Galaxy Watch8 devices to track their performance and deliver advanced training insights that help them meet their goals while also prioritizing rest.
To give fans a closer look at the action and the downtime that fuels it, Samsung will host Rest Day with Me, featuring Unrivaled athletes Breanna Stewart, Kate Martin, Lexie Hull, Napheesa Collier, and Rickea Jackson. Through social content, the players will showcase how they prepare for their workouts and make the most of their rest days with the power of Galaxy. From monitoring their heart rate,1 to checking their Energy Score,2 Sleep Scores, and other performance insights, it will highlight how Galaxy Wearables and Samsung Health help them track and optimize their rest days to prepare for season two.
Season Two Kicks Off January 5, 2026
Samsung is honored to continue investing in the league’s elite athletes, providing them with the technology and insights to help enhance their performance on the court, while also building more ways for them to connect with fans and their communities.
Galaxy Wearables will once again be integrated into Unrivaled athletes’ training programs, providing tracking of athlete performance including heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen levels, movement and activity patterns, and more. Clubs, coaching staff, and training staff will also utilize Galaxy tablets to access player data in real time to inform training programs and improve their game.
Samsung Galaxy technology will continue to elevate the fan experience before, during, and after each game, as well as throughout the broadcast. Leveraging innovations like the Instant Slow-mo on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, fans both in the arena and at home will gain unprecedented access to the day’s top plays and defining moments through social and broadcast content like the Galaxy Game Winner and the Galaxy Game View.
Samsung Courtside (Content) Crew
For the first time, Samsung is adding a social content team to its roster — the Samsung Courtside Crew. As Unrivaled’s creative engine, the Crew helps define the league’s distinct personality. Powered by Galaxy technology, the Crew captures hundreds of hours of dynamic content on and off the court that brings fans closer to the action.
To honor Unrivaled’s creative “secret sauce,” Samsung is unveiling custom Courtside Crew jackets designed by renowned fashion designer LaQuan Smith. Throughout the season, the Crew will be easy to spot courtside in their signature jackets as they create and share the moments that shape the league’s story.
A limited number of Courtside Crew jackets will be available for purchase. Additional information regarding availability will be shared at a later date.
“The Samsung Courtside Crew embodies the bold, creative spirit of Unrivaled. With Samsung’s technology behind them, they’re capturing our league in a way that brings fans even closer to the athletes and defining moments” said Napheesa Collier, Unrivaled Co-Founder and Lunar Owls star. “It’s exciting to see their hard work being celebrated by Samsung and such a talented, inspirational designer like LaQuan.”
Samsung Rest Club
Continuing its commitment to elevating athlete performance, Samsung will introduce the Samsung Rest Club, a best-in-class recovery facility in women’s basketball. Designed to support players throughout the season, the space offers state-of-the-art rest and rejuvenation experiences for Unrivaled athletes.
“Around the league, we’re so excited to have the Samsung Rest Club as a dedicated space at the facility where we can really prioritize our rest and recovery” said Breanna Stewart, Unrivaled Co-Founder and Mist star. “Our goal with Unrivaled has always been to support our athletes with the best resources possible. Working with Samsung to bring the Rest Club to life is a meaningful step in that mission and a true reflection of what Unrivaled stands for.”
Players can monitor changes in their oxygen levels before, during, and after sessions in advanced hyperbaric oxygen chambers, then unwind with specialized massage treatments to help their bodies recover from demanding training and game schedules.
To support mental recovery as well as physical, the athletes will also have access to Galaxy XR, Galaxy Tablets, and Galaxy Buds in the space for an immersive content experience, including curated mindfulness and relaxation programming created in partnership with Calm.
Throughout the season, fans will continue to get a behind-the-scenes look at their favorite players’ recovery routine with the continuation of the Samsung Rest Day with Me content series and exclusive looks into the new Samsung Rest Club, offering an intimate view into how elite athletes recharge between matchups.
The Unrivaled season kicks off at Sephora Arena in Miami, Florida on January 5, 2026. The season will run through March, with live game coverage on TNT and truTV, along with all games being streamed on HBO Max. Throughout the season, 48 players across eight basketball clubs will take to the court for a 3-on-3 style of play. Visit Unrivaled Basketball for more information.
