Unrivaled Announces Rosters and Coaches for All Six Clubs and Releases Schedule for Inaugural 2025 Season

Unrivaled Announces Ticketmaster as the Official Ticketing Partner for the League’s Debut Season and Beyond

MIAMI (November 20, 2024) -- Today, professional women’s basketball league Unrivaled revealed the rosters for each of its six clubs, along with the complete 2025 schedule for its inaugural season, tipping off live game action on January 17, 2025, in Miami.

Opening night will feature Napheesa Collier and the Lunar Owls Basketball Club facing Breanna Stewart and the Mist Basketball Club at 7 p.m. ET, followed by Angel Reese and the Rose Basketball Club taking on Reese’s former head coach Teresa Weatherspoon, Arike Ogunbowale, and the Vinyl Basketball Club at 8:15 p.m. ET, with both games set to be broadcast live on TNT and streamed on Max. In October, Unrivaled and TNT Sports reached a multi-year media rights partnership to exclusively feature more than 45 primetime regular season matchups on TNT and truTV – along with all games being streamed on Max. In a video released to the league’s YouTube channel and presented by State Farm®, Unrivaled’s coaches – Phil Handy, Adam Harrington, Nola Henry, DJ Sackmann, Andrew Wade and Teresa Weatherspoon – divvied the 36 players into six clubs of six players each, and they did so without knowing which club they would ultimately be leading. This blind drafting process incentivized the coaches to create evenly constructed rosters as part of the league’s initiative to produce the most competitive season possible. Once completed, each coach was assigned their respective club for the 2025 season.

Unrivaled was founded with the mission to deliver the most entertaining, competitive on-court product in women’s basketball history. As such, the league will never limit itself or restrain from adding talent to its already star-studded roster, as additional negotiations are ongoing. The two Wildcard Positions – for Lunar Owls Basketball Club and Phantom Basketball Club, respectively – enable Unrivaled to continue pursuing the world’s premier players up to and even throughout the season.

The 3-on-3 games will be played on a compressed full court (70x50 feet). Upon the conclusion of the regular season, single-elimination postseason play will begin on March 16, 2025 and will culminate a day later with the Unrivaled Finals. In addition to the 3-on-3 season, the league will host a 1-on-1 tournament from February 10-14, 2025, pitting the top players in the world against each other in a $250,000 winner-take-all exhibition to crown the best individual player in the game.
