It's been over three months since Mist Basketball Club hoisted the 2026 Unrivaled Championship trophy at Sephora Arena. Since then, Unrivaled's athletes haven't skipped a beat, with WNBA action having tipped off on May 8. May saw 40 out of 48 Unrivaled players improve their averages in at least one statistical category compared to the 2025 WNBA season.

May’s Standout Performers

Kelsey Plum

Kelsey Plum has carried her dominant inaugural Unrivaled season right into the WNBA. The Phantom BC guard averaged career bests in points (26.8), field goals (9.3), field goal percentage (59%), three-point field goals (3.3), three-point percentage (48.8%), and assists (6.3) in May. Her 26.8 points and 3.3 three-pointers per game led all Unrivaled athletes and the WNBA for the month. Compared to 2025, Plum’s field goal and three-point field goal percentages have jumped by double digits. The 2026 All-Unrivaled First Team honoree also tied Maya Moore for most consecutive 25-point games to open a WNBA season and dropped 38 points against the Las Vegas Aces for the Sparks’ fourth win of the season.

Brittney Sykes

Brittney Sykes is no stranger to having an immediate impact on a new club, or team. After earning All-Unrivaled Second Team honors in her first season with Laces BC, Sykes finished May with 179 points to rank second across the WNBA and averaged a career-high 19.9 points (up from 14.1 in 2025) to lead the Toronto Tempo. Sykes also averaged a career-high 4.1 assists in nine games. On May 17, the Laces BC wing tallied a career-high 38 points to power the Tempo to its first road win in franchise history over the Los Angeles Sparks.

Marina Mabrey

Joining her Tempo teammate Sykes, Marina Mabrey kicked off May by tallying 26 points to hand the Tempo its first win in franchise history on May 13. The Lunar Owls BC wing was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the first time in her eight-season WNBA career for games played from May 25 through May 31. After finishing her 2026 Unrivaled campaign as the Icy Hot Comeback Player of the Year—averaging league bests of 25.3 points and 3.7 three-pointers per game—Mabrey has carried that form into the WNBA, averaging a career-high 18.7 points (up from 14.4 in 2025) and 3.0 three-point field goals per game.

Allisha Gray

Fresh off an Unrivaled season that saw her capture a championship, win a free throw challenge, and finish as the runner-up of the 1 on 1 Tournament presented by Sprite, 2026 All-Unrivaled Second Team honoree Allisha Gray averaged a career-high 20.4 points in May. With her help, the Atlanta Dream finished May 5-2, ranking first in the Eastern Conference. The Mist BC wing tallied 20-plus points in four out of seven games and led the Dream in scoring four times. Her performances throughout resulted in her being named the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month.

Olivia Miles

After signing a multi-year playing contract on Apr. 12, Olivia Miles is poised to shake up Unrivaled if her debut is anything like her start in the WNBA. Miles led all rookies in May with 15.4 points and 5.9 assists per game and was named the WNBA Rookie of the Month. She dished out the most assists by a WNBA rookie in their first three games in the last decade and became the first player in WNBA history to record 45-plus points and 20-plus assists through her first three games. On May 27, Miles also became the first Minnesota Lynx rookie to record a 15/5/5 game since Unrivaled Co-Founder Napheesa Collier in 2019. The dynamic rookie powered the Lynx to the top of the WNBA standings, finishing the month 6-2.
