MIAMI (Feb. 22, 2026) — Phantom BC secured a top-two playoff seed and a first-round bye Sunday night, defeating Hive BC 84-66 to clinch a trip to the Semifinals of the Unrivaled Playoffs Sponsored by Samsung at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The Phantom notched their tenth win of the season, increasing its win streak to six to mark the second-longest win streak in league history. The Hive dropped to 4-9 with their second consecutive loss.

Aliyah Boston scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds, erupting for 16 points in the third quarter to break the game open. Kelsey Plum added 23 points and six assists, marking the fifth time this season the duo has scored 20 or more points in the same game.

Boston credited a mindset shift to helping fuel her dominant third quarter.

“I think the first half I was just super passive, so I knew coming out in the third that I had to just be a little bit more confident in my game,” Boston said. “That started with taking the midrange jumpers. Once I saw it go through, I was like okay we got it now.”

Phantom BC head coach Roneeka Hodges praised the strong chemistry between Boston and Plum.

“They both have been awesome from the start until now,” Hodges said. “You see the connection that they have and the chemistry. It’s not by accident.”

Hive BC was led by Aziaha James, who joined the club from the player development pool and scored a career-high 22 points—the most by a Hive bench player in club history. Monique Billings added 11 points and 12 rebounds for her league-leading ninth double-double of the season.

James expressed her gratitude for her Unrivaled experience.

“This has been a great experience,” James said. “I’m so thankful to be in the circle—it feels so good to be able to be here and live up to the moment.”

After trailing by three early, Plum scored eight points during a 12-2 run to give the Phantom control. Kiki Iriafen added eight first-quarter points as the Phantom built a 23-16 lead after one.

The Hive answered in the second period as Kelsey Mitchell knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers to spark an 8-2 run. James added 10 points off the bench in the second to help the Hive trim the deficit to 46-43 at halftime.

James opened the second half with two 3-pointers before Boston took over. She scored 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting in the 3rd, igniting a 16-0 Phantom run that stretched their lead to 73-58 entering the fourth.

Tiffany Hayes put the game away, scoring nine of the Phantom’s final 11 points. Hayes went 4-of-4 from the field in the fourth and capped the night with a driving layup for her first game-winner of the season.
