MIAMI (Jan. 19, 2026) — Paige Bueckers’ dominance was on full display as she dropped a career-high 37 points against Mist BC, setting the Breeze BC single-game scoring record with an Unrivaled record 18 first-quarter points. The Breeze improve to 3-2 on the season as the Mist fall to 3-2.

As if the night couldn’t get any better for Bueckers, she was also crowned the winner of the Free Throw Challenge Presented by Xfinity, winning $50,000 after going 2-of-2 from the charity stripe to total a perfect 13-of-13 from at the line through her first five career games.

Bueckers emphasized the value of investing in women’s sports after her performance.

“It just means everything to us because we invest so much into the game,” Bueckers said. “To see other people invest that much into us as well, it’s very motivating, not just for us, but for the next generation to come as well.”

She started the night 6-of-7 from the field and 3-of-4 from long distance, outscoring the entire Mist squad 18-15 in the opening period.

“As a team, we were very intentional about how we started the game,” Bueckers said. “That really set the tone for what it looked like for us the rest of the game.”

The Mist were led by Breanna Stewart, who posted her second double-double of the season with a season-high 26 points and 11 rebounds. Allisha Gray added 20 points, marking her fourth 20+ point game of the year.

Stewart was not surprised by the intense mindset that Breeze came out with on Monday night.

“Credit to them, they lost their last two games, so of course they were going to come out hungry for a win,” Stewart said. “Now it’s our turn to respond.”

The Breeze’s lead only grew in the final frame, as Bueckers and Dominique Malonga combined for all 11 points. Malonga dominated the glass, grabbing a quarter-high six boards. Bueckers sealed the deal with a pullup jumper, ending the Breeze’s two game skid.

The Breeze bigs were instrumental in the win. Cameron Brink recorded a career-high 18 points and Malonga added a 16-point, 15-rebound double-double, her third of the season.

“I thought they both were really attentive to our coverages, finding spots on the court for their success,” Breeze head coach Noelle Quinn said of Brink and Malonga’s performance.
