Phantom BC Wins Fifth Straight, Defeats Laces BC 64-58

MIAMI (Feb. 20, 2026) — Four players scored in double figures Friday night as Phantom BC extended its winning streak to five games with a 64-58 victory over Laces BC. The Phantom improved to 9-3 with the win, pulling even with the Laces, who entered the night at 9-2 before falling to 9-3.
Both clubs came into the matchup as the top two teams in Unrivaled, and the game’s intensity reflected the stakes.
“I thought it was electrifying,” Phantom BC head coach Roneeka Hodges said. “It was a playoff-type of game as it should have been.”
Aliyah Boston led the way with her seventh double-double of the season, finishing with 16 points and 12 rebounds while surpassing 300 career points. Tiffany Hayes added 16 points for her sixth double-digit scoring performance of the year.
Hayes credited the club’s chemistry for its success so far.
“I think us clicking off the court really helps us click on the court,” Hayes said. “Hopefully we’ll keep going up and get some more done.”
The Phantom hit its first seven shots to jump out to a 16-7 lead. Sykes and Young combined for nine first-quarter points, but the Phantom carried a 22-15 advantage into the second quarter behind eight points from Boston and seven off the bench from Natasha Cloud.
Boston and Kelsey Plum combined for 12 points in the second quarter, helping the Phantom take a 38-29 lead into halftime. Phantom BC shot 59% in the first half, with Boston and Plum scoring 23 of the club’s 38 points.
The Laces responded with a 10-0 run in the third quarter, trimming the deficit to one after trailing by as many as 11 earlier in the period. Sykes scored 10 points in the quarter as the Laces entered the fourth trailing 53-46.
A 9-0 run by the Laces in the fourth tied the game at 55, but Hayes and Kiki Iriafen combined for the Phantom’s final nine points, with Iriafen’s putback layup sealing the win.
Jackie Young led the Laces with 23 points, while Brittney Sykes contributed 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Young pointed to the Laces’ slow start as the difference in the loss to Phantom.
“They’re a great team,” Young said. “It’s on us to get off to a good start. I don’t feel like we came out ready to play, so we just have to build on that and move forward.”
The Phantom’s five-game winning streak is the longest active streak in the league.
