MIAMI (Feb. 23, 2026) — Vinyl BC became the sixth and final club to clinch a spot in the playoffs with a 75-68 win over Lunar Owls BC. “Great night for our team,” Vinyl BC head coach Teresa Weatherspoon said. “The way that they played with such heart and determination, this is the team that we know that we are.”

Vinyl entered the night controlling its playoff fate, needing one more win to clinch. Burrell emphasized that the group understood the task at hand.

“I feel like as a team we knew what was at stake,” Burrell said. “We came focused from shootaround to now, and I think we all were able to lock in.”

Mabrey acknowledged the elite work ethic and talent of Edwards.

“Aaliyah works really hard,” Mabrey said. “She’s putting a lot of time and effort to be getting better every single day. I’m seeing it everywhere, different passes being caught, different moves being made, and just learning her as a player has been fun.”

Mabrey scored five points during a 9-4 run to open the game, but Burrell and Griner combined for the Vinyl’s first 14 points of the game to help take a 22-21 lead after the opening period.

Both clubs traded leads throughout the second quarter. Skylar Diggins scored six straight points late in the half to cut the deficit to one as the Vinyl carried a 45-44 lead into the break.
