MIAMI (Jan. 23, 2026) — Allisha Gray and Arike Ogunbowale led Mist BC with a combined 49 points, as Gray became the second player in league history to reach 400 career points with 28 on the night, and Ogunbowale tied her career-high with 21 points. The Mist improve to 4-2 as the Rose fall to 3-3, dropping their third straight game.

“I feel like every game, I look down, and she has the quietest 28 points I've ever seen,” Mist head coach Zach O’Brien said of Gray. “It’s efficient and simple.”

Four out of six Mist BC players finished in double figures, including Veronica Burton—who notched a career-high 15 points and dished six assists. The guard praised the club’s chemistry for its 4-2 start.

“We really have a lot of chill, laid-back personalities, no egos, and I think that’s a beautiful thing, especially in this type of league,” Burton said.

Mist BC jumped out to a 15-3 lead in the first quarter, sparked by nine points from Breanna Stewart and never looked back.

The Mist led by as many as 20 points and nearly tied the league’s single-game 3-pointers record with 12 as a group. Gray outshot the Rose behind the arc herself with five made threes on the night as Burton and Ogunbowale followed with three apiece.

The Rose cut the lead to 10 early in the fourth following an 8-2 run, but the Mist responded with an 8-0 spurt capped by a reverse layup from Arike Ogunbowale to mark her first career game-winner.

Shakira Austin had a career night for Rose BC, with a career-best 29 points and 10 rebounds off the bench, marking her fourth double-digit scoring performance and second double-double of the season.

“Shakira still hasn’t even scratched the surface of what she can be,” Rose head coach Nola Henry said. “I know tonight we saw flashes of it, and even still, she has another level that she can get to.”

Kahleah Copper added 22 points, three rebounds and an assist, but the Rose lost the rebounding battle 33-24 and gave up 12 second chance points and 11 points off of turnovers to the Mist.
