Career Night from Ogunbowale Powers Mist BC Past Rose BC, 90-64

MIAMI (Feb. 9, 2026) — Arike Ogunbowale poured in a career-high 29 points off the bench to lead Mist BC to a 90-64 win over Rose BC, snapping a two-game skid for the Mist to improve them to 7-4 on the season as the Rose fell to 5-6.
The Mist received balanced contributions throughout their lineup. Veronica Burton posted a career-best 16 points and seven assists, while Breanna Stewart recorded her second consecutive double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
“A great team effort,” Mist BC head coach Zach O’Brien said about the win. “That’s about as hard as we’ve played all year, so you love to see that.”
Mist BC's 90 points marked the second-highest single-game total by an Unrivaled club this season. Phantom BC holds the top mark with 94 points in a Jan. 10 win over Lunar Owls BC.
The Mist took control in the second quarter, outscoring the Rose 29-13 and closing the half on a 23-9 run. Ogunbowale, Stewart, and Gray all reached double-figure scoring for Mist in the first half, with Ogunbowale leading the way with 18 points.
The surge continued after halftime as the Mist opened the third quarter on a 20-7 run, pushing their lead to 31. Burton scored 10 points in the period as the Mist carried a 78-50 advantage into the fourth.
Ogunbowale added eight more points in the final frame as the Mist cruised to victory, capped by a game-winning jumper from Stewart.
Ogunbowale, who is averaging a career-best 14.5 points per game through 11 contests, has embraced her role as a spark off the Mist’s second unit.
“It builds character,” Ogunbowale said. “There are a lot of great players here, and only three can play at a time. Coming out and doing what you can to help the team is important.”
Shakira Austin led Rose with 19 points and 10 rebounds for her second straight double-double.
Haley Jones, recently assigned to Rose BC from the player development pool, scored nine points on 4-of-8 shooting.
“I love Haley,” Henry said. She’s the ultimate pro and does whatever you ask of her—anytime I get a chance to have Haley on my team, I’m going to pick her.”
