Aaliyah Edwards Makes History With Fifth Straight Double-Double, Lunar Owls BC Tops Breeze BC 75–70

MIAMI (Feb. 17, 2026) — Aaliyah Edwards recorded her fifth consecutive double-double for the Lunar Owls to make league history in their 75-70 win over the Breeze. She passed Angel Reese for the longest double-double streak in league history with 24 points and 10 rebounds on the night.
The victory moves the Lunar Owls to 3-8 while the Breeze fall to 5-6 with their second straight loss.
“I’m just proud and blessed,” Edwards said. “Doing that in a league of elites is a great accomplishment. I’m never the type of player to strive to accomplish individual goals, so I’m just glad that I was able to get that and also the win.”
Edwards is averaging 22.4 points and a league-best 13.2 rebounds per game this season.
“She’s been great every single day,” Lunar Owls BC head coach DJ Sackmann added. “We’ve been dealing with a lot of adversity this season, and she’s always been super steady for us—I’m just really proud of her.”
Dominique Malonga led the Breeze with a career-high 29 points, including her second dunk of the season to become the first player in league history to record multiple dunks. Paige Bueckers scored 19 points and Courtney Williams added 15 in her Breeze debut after being traded from Vinyl BC on Feb. 9.
“I think it’s something that can energize us, get us going, and turn up the room,” Malonga said of the dunk. “As much as I can do it, I will.”
The Breeze started the game strong, with Malonga and Williams combining for 10 of the club’s first 12 points. The Lunar Owls responded with a 14-2 run to close the first quarter, sparked by back-to-back 3-pointers from Rachel Banham and 10 first-quarter points from Edwards.
Breeze BC trimmed the deficit to four with a 6-0 run to open the second period. Malonga and Bueckers combined for 12 points, but Skylar Diggins scored six straight to help the Lunar Owls lead 39-31 at halftime behind Edwards’ 16 points and eight rebounds.
Breeze BC made a late push in the second half, highlighted by Malonga’s breakaway dunk off a in a 16-7 run that cut the lead to one possession. Mabrey sealed the victory with the game-winning basket as Diggins and Edwards combined for nine of the Lunar Owls’ 11 in the fourth.
