MIAMI (Feb. 7, 2026) — Shakira Austin, Kahleah Copper and Chelsea Gray combined for all but two of Rose BC’s points as they held off a historic fourth quarter surge from Vinyl BC to win 74-66.

The Vinyl scored 28 points in the final frame—the highest-scoring fourth quarter by any club in league history. Dearica Hamby poured in 14 of those points—the most ever by a player in a fourth quarter.

“We know that's what Dearica can do,” Vinyl BC head coach Teresa Weatherspoon said. “From the beginning of the game to the very end of the game. She gained her rhythm, and when she gains her rhythm, it's very hard to stop her.”

The Rose improve to 5-5 with the victory, snapping a two-game losing streak, while the Vinyl fall to 4-6 as their two-game win streak comes to a halt.

Copper led the Rose in scoring with 26 points as Chelsea Gray finished with 24 points, becoming the first player in league history to reach 200 field goals made. Austin finished the night with 22 points, a career-high 18 rebounds and career-high five blocks.

Rose head coach Nola Henry credited Austin’s defensive effort for fueling her offense.

“Letting her defense create offense,” Henry said. “You saw her offensively show her skill set and the variety of ways that she can score the ball.”

The trio of Gray, Copper, and Austin propelled a dominant start for Rose. They opened the game on a 10-0 run and built their lead to as many as 18 in the second. The Rose held the Vinyl to 7-of-28 shooting through the first two quarters, taking a 47-27 lead into halftime.

“You have three really aggressive, skilled players,” Henry said about the starting trio for Rose. “A group that can not only score the ball, but when they sit down and have a defensive mindset, they can make a real impact and make it really tough for the opponent to score.”

The Rose maintained its double-digit lead throughout the third quarter, increasing their advantage to as many as 24 to take a 62-38 lead heading into the fourth.

The Vinyl offense shifted the pace of the game with an 18-2 run to open the final frame, with Erica Wheeler sinking a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to six points. Wheeler finished the night with a career-high 17 points off the bench as Hamby finished with 27 points and nine rebounds on the night.

Gray put the Vinyl away with a jumper, sealing the victory with her third game-winner of the season.
