MIAMI (Feb. 21, 2026) — Breeze BC set an Unrivaled single-game record with 10 blocks and snapped a two-game skid with a 77-56 win over Vinyl BC. Breeze BC improves to 6-6 as Vinyl BC falls to 4-8.

“I thought the team came out with a great sense of urgency and understanding the magnitude of this game,” Breeze BC head coach Noelle Quinn said. “I wanted us to get back on the right track, and it did start with our defensive effort.”

Paige Bueckers led the way with 25 points and a career-high 12 rebounds for the Breeze. Rickea Jackson added 22 points, and Cameron Brink and Dominique Malonga recorded four blocks apiece.

Bueckers pointed to the group’s chemistry as a key factor in their turnaround.

“I’ve always learned in life when you’re going through something, it’s so much better to go through it with the people around you and the people you love,” Bueckers said. “It’s been a whole lot of fun to just build new relationships and a new family with this team.”

Rae Burrell led the Vinyl with a career-high 24 points and seven rebounds. Erica Wheeler added a career-best 19 points, going 3-of-6 from behind the arc.

Vinyl BC head coach Teresea Weatherspoon praised Burrell’s effort.

“I am super proud of her performance,” Weatherspoon said. “Unfortunately we did not get the win that we wanted to have, but where she’s growing and what she's putting forth for us was huge.”

The first quarter featured three lead changes as the Breeze led 22-20 to begin. Burrell scored 12 points in the opening period, while Bueckers had seven. Brink added five points, a steal, and a block off the bench.

Bueckers and Malonga then scored the Breeze’s first 11 points of the second quarter. Jackson added seven points during a 9-2 Breeze run to take a 47-35 lead into halftime. Bueckers finished the first half with 15 points and seven rebounds as Jackson followed with 12 points.

The Vinyl were held scoreless for the first two minutes of the third as the Breeze continued to protect the rim, highlighted by three consecutive blocks from Malonga. Wheeler answered with eight straight points to spark a 10-2 Vinyl run that cut the deficit to 10. Bueckers and Malonga combined for 12 third-quarter points to give the Breeze a 66-54 lead entering the fourth.

The Breeze closed the game on an 11-2 run to seal the victory. Bueckers, Malonga, and Jackson scored all 11 fourth-quarter points, with Malonga converting a free throw for her second game-winner of the season.
